Tonight I was reading Parcel magazine to stay up to date with logistics industry news. While I was perusing through the magazine, I saw an ad for the company I work for. The link is IntraVex’s company profile in Parcel Magazine’s Who’s Who website.

Sigh...
Suffice it to say, I’m still sick.  I went to the Dr yesterday and she prescribed Azithromycin for 5 days.  It’s the same medicine she gave me the last time I was sick and has proven to be very effective.  I’m actually feeling a whole lot better but still congested with just a slight throat irritation.  I hope to be well enough by this weekend, so I can go back to work on...

Financial shit-hole
So, I turned on CNBC’s “On The Money” to watch the extent of the damage done by declining the Treasury plan.  Needless to say, I ran to the computer to exchange my 401K investments, and what happens?  The system wouldn’t let me.  Yeah, I wonder why that could be? [ eye roll ] Luckily, Bank of America’s customer service is 24 hours, so I was able to exchange two of my...

California's Supreme Court legalizes gay marriage →
Excerpt of the article… read the whole article by clicking on the link above. Massachusetts in 2004 became the first, and so far only, state to legalize gay marriage; more than 9,500 couples have taken advantage of the law. But the California ruling is considered monumental by virtue of the state’s size — 38 million out of a U.S. population of 302 million — and its...

On benefits, gay couples already covered →
“If an out-of-state company has a benefit plan and it defines the people getting it as ‘employee and spouse,’ then a person in a marriage by a same-sex couple in California would get the benefit,” said Jon Davidson, legal director of Lambda Legal, a nonprofit advocacy organization on gay civil rights issues. “That person is legally the spouse here, so it would...

“Anything that operates on an HTML document, be it a browser, a CSS stylesheet, an XSL transformation, a JavaScript program, or something else, will have an easier time working with a well-formed document than the malformed alternative. This chapter covers the mechanics and trade-offs of well-formedness as it is usually apply in HTML.” - A contribution by Elliotte Rusty Harold from...

Plans and stuff.
I am currently taking a break from school to replenish my body’s energy supply. After May, aside from my full time job, I will be looking for a part time job, and then back to school just in time for the Summer 2 session. This time, however, as much as I would like to continue being a full time student, I will enroll as a part time. It’s pertinent that I set aside time for the second...
