semi-daily voyeurism of random (mundane) events and emotional vacuums while in the process of re-defining scraps of myself.

  2. Plans and stuff.

I am currently taking a break from school to replenish my body’s energy supply. After May, aside from my full time job, I will be looking for a part time job, and then back to school just in time for the Summer 2 session. This time, however, as much as I would like to continue being a full time student, I will enroll as a part time. It’s pertinent that I set aside time for the second job so that I can pay off at least half of my credit card bills and save up. Next year, as a birthday present to myself, I will be getting an apartment; therefore, I need to make sure that my finances are secured.

Since I have at least 2 - 3 months of “replenishing,” I can now spend time with the important people in my life, do what I want, go wherever I please or just relax.

Yesterday, I spent time with my nephews the whole afternoon. It was a beautiful day outside, and I didn’t want them to spend it indoors. So, I suggested we go to the park at Lake Shore, but on our way there, they saw Navy Pier, and that was that. The garage was full, so we had to park a few blocks away, which posed no problem since they’re both good kids; I didn’t have to worry about them running away or complaining endlessly. When we got there, we spent a couple of minutes in the garden to take pictures, then I bought tickets for us to ride the wave swinger; unfortunately, MJ wasn’t tall enough to ride it. Luckily, the lighthouse ride was still open, so they rode that instead. After an hour and a half, we braved the streets again. They were both making silly comments at how high we parked. MJ fell asleep on the ride home while Gaudwin and I listened to my iPod and bantered. When we got back to their place, I spent a few minutes talking to my cousins and taking pictures, then got dragged by my nephews to watch them play with their scooters. It was a very nice day. =)

    Future Events:

This coming Wednesday from 5 PM - 10 PM, I will definitely be going to a Baskin-Robbins nearby. They’re having a 31 cents per scoop sale (nationwide) as a tribute to American firefighting heroes.

Next Saturday at 10 PM, I plan on attending the Exodos Magazine: Featuring Zorana’s Couture Fashion Show at the Victor Hotel. (I gotta get a haircut tomorrow!)

On April 21 at 6 - 9 PM, I’m going to attend a free class hosted by Kurt Naebig at the Acting Studio Chicago. It’s free, so why the bloody hell not?! Besides, I already took the night off to go there.

May 25 - June 1, my friends and I are going to take a road trip to Orlando, Florida! All I’m really excited for is the house that we rented (3 bedrooms, a private indoor pool, and I think we also have a billiard room… it’s kewl as hell!) and Universal Studios. I’ve always wanted to go there.

June 14, my co-workers and I plan on attending the 15th Annual Chicago Cares Serve-a-thon, but we’re still waiting confirmation if Bank of America will sponsor us.

Last but not least, on Sunday morning, June 29, I’m going to attend the Annual Chicago Pride Parade, of course!

When the weather’s not so cold anymore, I will be directing a 30 minute skit that I wrote featuring my friends… and me getting run over by a car… should be interesting. =)
